YELLOW PAGES GROUP AND TELUS USE CALL GENIE’S MOBILE SEARCH AND ADVERTISING PRODUCT SUITE TO PROVIDE ENHANCED DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE SERVICES ACROSS CANADA

Service provides consumers with relevant business listings utilizing Yellow Pages Group’s Business Listings in both English and French
San Francisco, California and Toronto, Ontario - October 7, 2008 - Call Genie Inc. today announced an expanded partnership with Canada’s Yellow Pages Group and TELUS that will see Call Genie’s award-winning business category search technology and Yellow Pages directory business listing data help power TELUS’ new enhanced directory assistance service.

Enhanced Directory Assistance (EDA) expands upon traditional directory assistance by giving callers the ability to search for businesses by category just like they would in the Yellow Pages. Additionally callers can refine their searches geographically by intersection, landmark or neighbourhood.
To enable this service together TELUS and Call Genie architected and implemented the EDA platform, as well as worked with the Yellow Pages Group (YPG) to map and geo-code approximately 5000 cities and towns in Canada. This enables TELUS callers to 411 to conduct their directory searches and local refinements with ease in both English and French. “TELUS is proud to be an innovative leader in the North American directory assistance market. We are first in Canada to provide our customers Enhanced Directory Assistance and Enhanced Information Services, in both English and French. The launch of this Canadian offering demonstrates our ongoing commitment to meeting our customer’s information needs,” said Joanne Beaton, VP of TELUS Operator Services.
